Defender
A player with plenty of experience at a variety of clubs as well as with the Spanish national side, Marta Torrejón made her debut as a teenager for Espanyol. In 2013, aged 23 she signed for Barça, quickly becoming a fixture in the blaugrana back four.
The defender has won no less than six league titles, amongst many other honours, in her time as a blaugrana, to add to the one she won as a teenager with Espanyol. Torrejón has also been a vital part of the team's two Champions League winning campaigns and in the 2023/24 season she made her 400th appearance for the club in a game against Sevilla in November 2023.
She retired from the Spanish national side in 2019 after having made 90 appearances for the team.
Thanks to her technique and pace, Torrejón can perform equally well at centre half and full back. The defender is also a threat in the air and a real danger at set pieces in attack.
