With an admirable career in goal for Arsenal, Roma, and Juventus, Szczęsny is a vastly experienced international goalkeeper

FC Barcelona and the player Wojciech Szczęsny reached an agreement for him to join the Club until 30 June 2025 after Ter Stegen picked up a long-term injury.

This means the Polish keeper is back in a kit albeit he announced his retirement in August. However, Barça's call brought him back to football after an admirable career and many achievements. After leaving his home town of Warsaw at the age of 16 years old, he went on to play in goal for major European sides such as Arsenal, Roma and Juventus.

English side Arsenal gave him his chance in the top flight, and after a positive loan with Brentford, he became the gunners' number one for a while, winning two FA Cups and one Community Shield.

He then moved from London to Roma, were he stayed for two seasons, before signing for Juventus after having been chosen as the heir to Gianluigi Buffon. His importance in Turin was quite evident, as he played for seven seasons from 2017 to 2024, winning three league titles, three Cups and two Super Cups.

He also represented the Polish national team at two World Cups and four European Cups.
