Szczesny still unbeaten

Wojciech Szczesny still hasn't lost a game in an FC Barcelona jersey. Green, yellow or orange, in La Liga, la Copa, the Super Cup or the Champions League, against all-comers, the Polish stopper has delivered every time.
When he made his debut against Barbastro in the cup, it was immediately clear that he could potentially be the first-choice rather than reserve goalkeeper, and Hansi Flick eventually decided on the former of the two options. Following 17 wins (Barbastro, Athletic, Real Madrid, Benfica (3 times), Valencia (2), Alavés, Sevilla, Rayo Vallecano, Las Palmas, Real Sociedad, Atlético Madrid (2), Osasuna and Girona) and just three draws (against Atalanta, Atlético Madrid and Betis on Saturday), 'Tek' has never lost a game.
Top 5
It moves him into the top five Barça players for the longest unbeaten start to their career at the club. He is now tied with Philippe Coutinho, and only topped by Albert Celades, Johan Cruyff, Paulinho and Cesc Fàbregas.

In fact, there are still enough games left this season for the Pole to beat the stratospheric figure achieved by Cesc Fàbregas. A minimum of 11, and even more should Barça continue to progress in the Champions League.
Ten clean sheets
And Szczesny is making a key contribution to those wins too. He has only conceded six goals in the ten league games, with five clean sheets (and he has ten clean sheets across all competitions, half the games he's played).
He's leapt out of retirement and landed on his feet at Barça. And with his constant smile on his face, he's won the hearts of the blaugrana faithful. Dziękuję, Wojciechu!
