    Modern goalkeeper who is famed for her footwork and joined Barça with a fine background at club and country level

    Ellie Roebuck (23 September 1999) is an England international goalkeeper who joined Barça in the summer of 2024 from Manchester City.

    After learning the game in her native Sheffield, she was 15 when she joined Man City. In nine seasons from 2018 she played over 100 games as her side won the League, three FA Cups and three League Cups.

    Since 2018 she has also been regularly called up for international duty, helping the side to victory at Euro 2022. In March, she reported that she'd suffered an infarct in her occipital lobe, but she made a full recovery and was soon headed for Barça.

    TECHNICAL PROFILE

    Ellie Roebuck fits the Barça style 100% . Not only is she a fine shot stopper, but she is great with the ball at her feet, a wonder for getting the ball out from the back. She has no qualms about taking on defenders or making short passes to her defenders, and even initiating attacks.
