    Physically strong left-footed defender known for his good positioning and ball distribution

    Álvaro Cortés (born 17 March 2005, in Aragon) joined the club in the summer of 2021 from the youth ranks of Real Zaragoza. The defender joined Barcelona's U19B team, and after a first season of adaptation, he played the 2022/23 season on loan to CF Damm in the División de Honor. In 2023, he returned to Barça and joined preseason training with Barça Atlètic.

    He officially debuted with the reserve team on the first matchday of the 2023/24 season, at SD Logroñés on August 27, but later returned to the U19A squad, where he played three league matches and one UEFA Youth League match.
