Agreement reached between FC Barcelona and the player Jan Virgili to extend his contract for a further two seasons and he is set to stay at the Club until 30 June 2027.
One season in blaugrana
Born in Vilassar de Mar on 26 July 2006, Jan Virgili joined FC Barcelona this season in July 2024 from Nàstic de Tarragona. Virgili began his football journey at Escoleta del Vilassar, before spending time at youth level with Badalona, Vilassar de Dalt, Espanyol, Damm, Mataró, Europa and Granollers.
During this season with the FC Barcelona U19A side coached by Juliano Belletti, Jan Virgili has played 30 games across the Liga División de Honor (17), the Copa del Rey Juvenil (five) and the UEFA Youth League (eight). Furthermore, he has scored six goals, three in the league and three in Europe. His good performances for the U19As led to him making his debut for Barça Atlètic, for whom he went on to play six games.
This contract extension ensures Barça Atlètic have a quick influential player who can feature on both wings and sniff out goalscoring opportunities.
