Born on 31 January 1997, Melvyn Richardson came to Barça from Montpellier with whom he won the Champions League in 2018 during his four season stint with the French club. Already an established French international he won gold with the U18 national side in the European Championships in 2014 and in the World Championships with the U21 side a year later. With the full national side he was part of the squad that took the bronze medal in the 2019 European Championships.
An outstanding talent, Richardson is the complete player with quality in attack, one on ones, shooting and passing.
