Barça 36-27 Kolstad: Victory to round off group phase

Barça rounded off the group phase of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League group stage with a comfortable 36-27 win over Norwegian side Kolstad. With top spot in the group and a place in the quarter finals already decided, Carlos Ortega's team did not let complacency set in and rewarded the crowd in the Palau with another victory. 

Business as usual 

There was still plenty to play for in the Palau with Kolstad still searching for a place in the last eight. Nevertheless, the blaugranes got off to a solid start to lead 8-4 with 12 minutes gone. Despite the two minute penalty for N'Guessan, the blaugranes maintained their lead at 18-30 come the half time break. 

In the second half the tempo did not drop and the Norwegians were always second best as the blaugranes closed out a 36-27 win to end the Champions League group stage.
