Albert Sánchez was assistant coach to Òscar López at the U19A squad and assistant to Rafa Márquez before taking over as Barça Atlètic coach

Albert Sánchez, born on 1 April, 1987 in Esplugues de Llobregat, is a coach with experience both at Barça and elsewhere. Before arriving at FC Barcelona the coach had spells as assistant coach at Beijing Sports University in China in 2018/19, at Qadsia SC in Kuwait in 2019/20 where the team competed in the Asian Champions League and won the Supercup title, and at Saudi Arabian club Al Fateh where he was coach of the U20 side in 2020/21. 

The following season Sánchez came to Barça to take the role of assistant coach to Òscar López in the U19A team with the squad going on to win the league and the Champions Cup. 

In the summer of 2024 he took over as Barça Atlètic coach following the departure of Rafa Márquez after two seasons as assistant coach to the Mexican in which the squad reached the promotion play offs in both campaigns. 

Al curs 2021/22 arriba al Barça com a segon entrenador del Juvenil A, dirigit per Òscar López. Aquella temporada va aconseguir el doblet de Lliga Divisió d'Honor i la Copa de Campions.
