Agreement for Godoy to join Barça Atlètic

FC Barcelona and CD Eldense reach an agreement to transfer the Canary Island forward, who signs to become a blaugrana until 30 June 2027

Agreement reached between FC Barcelona and CD Eldense for the transfer of the player Alan Godoy. The Canary Island forward signs as a blaugrana for this and two seasons more up to 30 June 2027, and he will form part of the Barça Atlètic squad.

The new blaugrana development side player passed his medical tests and will join up with Albert Sánchez's squad in the coming days, with his new side's next game against Real Sociedad B at the Zubieta stadium on Saturday 1 February (kick-off 6.00pm CET).

Movement and goals in attack

He is a lively quick forward with an eye for goal. Although mainly known for leading the line, he has the characteristics to play anywhere in attack.

Born on 4 May 2003 in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Godoy came through the youth systems at UD Las Palmas and Deportivo Alavés, going on to feature for the Basque club's development side. Midway through the 2022/23 season, he went out on loan to Atlético Sanluqueño, where he scored eight goals in 17 games. Summer 2023 saw him loaned to Mirandés in the Segunda División, before he went on loan to Nàstic de Tarragona for the second half of the season, where he scored six goals and provided one assist in 21 games. In fact, he scored one of those goals at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, as Nàstic defeated the blaugranes (1-2).

After the loan in Tarragona ended, Godoy returned to Alavés, before being transferred to Eldense in the Segunda División last summer. He featured in 13 games for the Alicante side during the first half of this season, and he now joins Barça Atlètic to provide league experience and a number of different options in attack for Albert Sánchez's side.
