10 Barça players chosen by FIFA-FIFPro as candidates for the World XI

Ten current players from FC Barcelona’s first team have been elected by FIFA-FIFPro as candidates for their World XI, after the list was made public on Monday. Ter Stegen, Gerard Piqué, Samuel Umtiti, Jordi Alba, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Rakitic, Philippe Coutinho, Sergio Busquets, Luis Suarez and Leo Messi are all nominated, as are former players Andrés Iniesta and Yerry Mina.

The votes of 25,000 football players from 65 countries have been taken into account, and the final eleven will be announced on September 24, consisting of four defenders, three midfielders and three forwards. In the last edition the XI looked like this: Buffon, Alves, Ramos, Bonucci, Marcelo, Kroos, Modric, Andrés Iniesta, Leo Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.
