Joan Gamper Trophy: FC Barcelona v Boca Juniors

Once again the traiditional curtain raiser to the season at Camp Nou came in the form of the Joan Gamper Trophy game. This season the visitors were Argentine league champions Boca Juniors who returned 10 years on from their last appearance in the fixture when they lost against Pep Guardiola's Barça 2-1 with injury time goals from Puyol and Eto'o giving the blagranes the win.
