Squad list for the visit of Celta

Barça boss Ernesto Valverde has announced his 18 man squad for the game at home in Camp Nou against Celta Vigo on Saturday at 1.00pm CET. The coach is slowly getting players back from injury: in midweek Sergi Roberto made his return against Murcia in the Copa del Rey and for the game against the Galicians, André Gomes returns to the squad for the first time since picking up an injury against Oympiacos in the Champions League. Missing from the list are the injured players Arda, Dembélé, Rafinha and Mascherano as well as Semedo and Deulofeu.

The 18 man list is as follows: : Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Denis, A.Iniesta, Suárez, Messi, Paulinho, Alcácer, J.Alba, Digne, André Gomes, S.Roberto, Aleix Vidal, Umtiti and Vermaelen.

Before the squad was announced, FC Barcelona trained at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper for the final time before the game against Celta. All Ernesto Valverde’s available players took part along with Jokin Ezkieta from Barça B.

Before the session Ter Stegen, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Iniesta, Suárez, Messi, Dembélé, Mascherano, Jordi Alba and Umtiti were subject to UEFA anti-doping controls.
