All ready for the first Girona v FC Barcelona in the First Division. The available first team players were put through their paces on the Tito Vilanova pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper, in a session which also included Barça B’s Jokin Ezkieta. Moreover, the second side’s keeper, Adrià Ortolà, did exercises apart from the rest of the group.
At the end of the training session, the blaugrana coach Ernesto Valverde announced his squad for the trip to Girona. The list included Paco Alcácer, Umtiti and André Gomes who missed out against Eibar.
The full squad of 18 is: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Denis, A. Iniesta, Suárez, Messi, Mascherano, Paulinho, Alcácer, Jordi Alba, Digne, Sergi Roberto, André Gomes, Aleix Vidal and Umtiti.
Therefore, Semedo, Arda, Deulofeu and Vermaelen, have been left out of the match day squad alongside Dembélé and Rafinha who are injured. The team will leave for Girona from the Ciutat Esportiva at 11.45am CET on Saturday.
