FC Barcelona's LaLiga and Copa del Rey double means that they will take part in the Spanish Super Cup this August. The competition traditionally pits the league and cup winners against one another, but as a result of Barça winning both domestic honours, they will face Sevilla -the losing finalists in this year's Copa del Rey.
This will be the third time that the two sides meet in the Spanish Super Cup. In 2010 Barça won 5-3 on aggregate across the two legs, and in 2016 they beat the Andalusians 5-0.
Barça are the club who have participated in the competition on the most occasions, lifting the Super Cup on 12 of their 22 appearances. They have contested the trophy in eight of the last ten editions.
