And when Chelsea and FC Barcelona meet in the Round of 16, it will be a paragon of diversity, with national team mates from seven different countries facing each other in the knock out tie.

There will be 12 players who have appeared for Spain, including five players who helped La Roja win both the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012—Cesc Fàbregas, Pedro Rodríguez, Gerard Piqué, Sergio Busquets, and Andrés Iniesta. Jordi Alba was at Euro 2012 as well.
