Gerard Piqué: 'We’re feeling good and confident of winning the Super Cup'
The Barça defender says playing against Real Madrid 'is always special' but noted 'the Super Cup won’t be won tomorrow'

Gerard Piqué appeared in front of the microphone ahead of Sunday’s Super Cup clash against Real Madrid at the Camp Nou. The centre-back announced that team are “feeling good, and confident of winning the Super Cup” before going on to add that any Clásico “is always special.”
Speaking about the current state of these great rivals, Piqué noted that “when your rival has won more than you, you need to turn that situation around”. He went on to say that over recent years, Barça have shown they can do the business and that the key success would be to “put in a strong performance,” below alluding to the side’s four wins from four in pre-season, before asserting that are “confident of winning the Super Cup.”
The Catalan also made reference to the club’s ups and downs. “The club hasn’t lost its pulling power,” he said, adding that “if we can bring in some new faces, all the better, it will give us more squad depth”. Asked about Neymar Jr’s departure, he pronounced “we will come through this even stronger as a team.”
