The available first team players were put through their paces at the Tito Vilanova pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to finish their preparations for Wednesday’s match. The blaugranas receive Eibar in a match corresponding to the fifth La Liga fixture of the season in which they will try and continue their perfect start to stay top of the table.
Once training finished, the FC Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde announced the match day squad which sees Aleix Vidal, Vermaelen and Digne come in from the Getafe game. The squad in full is: Ter Stegen, Cillessen, Semedo, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Denis, A. Iniesta, Suárez, Messi, Mascherano, Paulinho, Deulofeu, Jordi Alba, Digne, Sergi Roberto, Aleix Vidal and Vermaelen.
Therefore, Umtiti, Álcacer, André Gomes and Arda Turan, even though he is fit again, have been left out, as well as the injured duo Rafinha and Ousmane Dembélé.
