After a week in central England and a match in Dublin, FC Barcelona's pre-season training routine returned to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper.
Monday's session saw the return of ten players — Ter Stegen, Bravo, Piqué, Rakitic, Sergio, Iniesta, Mascherano, Jordi Alba, Vermaelen and Douglas — some of whom voluntarily cut short their vacations to re-join the team.
Head coach Luis Enrique Martínez continued to count on several youth academy players. José Suárez, Aleñá, Cámara, Mujica, Carbonell, Nili, Martínez, Alfaro and Marlon, who were all at St. George’s Park, once again trained with the first team. Josep Martínez, Gumbau and Borja López, who played in Sunday's Barça B game, did not.
This week the team will train at the Ciutat Esportiva and will make two road trips for pre-season matches.
Barça face Leicester City in Stockholm, Sweden on Wednesday at 8.00pm and Liverpool in London, England on Saturday at 6.15pm.
