It’s time for the last game of 2016. FC Barcelona face Division 2B side Hércules tonight at the Camp Nou in the second leg of their Copa del Rey round of 16 tie.
After a 1-1 draw in Alicante there is still some work to do to ensure a place among the last sixteen and a date with Granada or Osasuna in the first week of January.
Luis Enrique has allowed Piqué, Suárez, Messi and Neymar Jr to start their Christmas holidays early, so none of those players are included in the squad of 16 for the Wednesday 10.00pm CET kick-off. Meanwhile, Mathieu is still out with a calf injury and regular goalkeeper Marc-André Ter Stegen is to be rested.
The full squad is therefore as follows: Cillessen, Masip, Rakitic, Sergio, Denis, Arda, Iniesta, Rafinha, Mascherano, Paco Alcácer, Jordi Alba, Digne, Sergi Roberto, André Gomes, Aleix Vidal and Umtiti.
