Before the start of the game, the two Brazilian players who took part in the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games, Neymar and Rafinha, received the appreciation of the Camp Nou crowd for their achievement in beating Germany in the final in a penalty shoot out back on 21 August.
Neymar went on to play his first game of the season for Barça in the game against Alavés. The striker arrived in Barcelona only on Thursday after scoring twice and creating two goals in Brazil's World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Colombia.
Rafinha, for his part, returned to training with the blaugranes straight after the Olympics and made his first appearance of the campaign in the away win against Athletic Club in San Mamés.
