FC Barcelona received a visit from a special guest on Tuesday at the Ciutat Esportiva in the shape of Chelsea player Pedro Rodríguez. The winger from the Canary Islands was at FC Barcelona between 2004 and 2015 and took advantage of the international break to drop by and say hello his former team mates.
“I was looking forward to coming, to see the people I left behind and see how things are going,” said Pedro, who is in Barcelona for just a few days. Now a Barça fans from far in London, the 29 year old revealed that he still follows the blaugranes’ avidly and “I always wish them the best and I hope they can stay on top.”
Pedro left FC Barcelona last summer to sign for Chelsea. After a season of settling in, the man from Tenerife explained “he is enjoying a new and different experience. The team is in good shape in the top half of the table and we are working hard with the coach.”
