Luis Enrique and FC Barcelona players reflect on win in Stockholm

Luis Enrique Martínez was delighted with his team’s 4-2 win over Leicester City at the Friends Arena in Stockholm on Wednesday night, but insisted that more than the result “the priority objective is to get the players back to competition fitness, and things are looking very good in that respect.”

Asked about two-goal hero Munir, the Barça manager said that “I have every confidence in him. He is a young and enthusiastic player. He never stops working and always delivers.”

He also commented after the game that “Leicester City were the big surprise in football last season. We played very well in the first half by not giving them any space. In the second half they made two top class moves and scored two goals out of them.”

He also commended the younger members of his preseason squad, saying that “they all have class, hunger and quality.”
