With the Gamper Trophy now behind them, the first team have started training for the first competitive match of the season, the Spanish Super Cup first leg at Sevilla on Sunday 14 (and the second leg at home on Wednesday 17).
Luis Enrique promised at his post-match press conference last night that “the team are now fully focused on Sevilla” and that indeed was the case as the players got straight back to work on the Tito Vilanova field at the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper training ground.
The two new signings, André Gomes and Samuel Umtiti, who reported back for duty on Monday 8 August, will have a second workout later on in the day, while the rest of the squad will be back at work on Friday morning.
