Osasuna are back in Spain’s top flight following a two-year absence after a gripping playoff match against Girona.
Barça will once again visit the El Sadar stadium against a team they know very well, having met in the top division in 36 seasons. The Catalans have a superb record against the team from Navarra, with 41 wins, 16 draws and 15 defeats in their 72 meetings.
At home, Barça have won 28 out of 36, drawn four and lost four. There have been big wins at the Camp Nou in the last three fixtures, with 21 goals scored: 8-0, 5-1 and 7-0.
Two years later, Luis Enrique’s side will return to the El Sadar. In Pamplona, the record is far more balanced. Barça have won 13, drawn 12 and lost eleven in the 36 matches at the tricky away ground.
