Time is dwindling. The day FC Barcelona's players walk in the front door of the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to start the 2016/17 preseason is right around the corner. They'll be filing in on 19 July, the date set for physicals before the start of on-the-field training the following day.
Not everyone will be there, of course, as players participating in the Copa America, the Euro 2016, and the Olympic Games will gradually trickle back in following their belated holidays.
After six days of intense workouts, the team will pack up and head from Sant Joan Despí to Birmingham, England, where, on 25 July, they will kick off a week of training at St. George's Park,
On 30 July, they'll straight to Dublin, Ireland for a 7.00pm GMT friendly against Celtic in the International Champions Cup.
Barça are also scheduled to face Leicester on 3 August in Stockholm and Liverpool on 6 August in London.
The dates for the annual Joan Gamper Trophy — the team's official unveiling — and the two-game set with Sevilla in the Spanish Super Cup, have yet to be determined.
