Chile overcame Colombia with a 2-0 victory on Thursday to set up a repeat of the 2015 Copa America final against Argentina, with Claudio Bravo set to go up against Barça teammates Javier Mascherano and Leo Messi.
Two early goals through Charles Aránguiz (6’) and José Pedro Fuenzalida (11’) were enough to send the Chileans through to their second consecutive final. Colombia, a much fancied side in the tournament, were unable to respond to the quickfire double suffered under the heavy rain.
As well as the tough conditions, their cause was not helped either by the sending off of Carlos Sanchez early in the second period.
After claiming their first ever Copa title last year against Argentina, Bravo and his teammates will be looking for a repeat when the two sides meet again, but know they face a tough task against Messi and co.
