In the first home match of the 2018/19 season, García Pimienta’s side eased to victory over Bengaluru (3-0). Barça B dominated throughout and, in the second half, scored the goals to seal the win through Monchu and Carles Pérez (2).

Despite having possession for most of the first half, the hosts were unable to make the breakthrough thanks to some backs-against-the-wall defending from the visitors.
Long shots from Monchu and Ballou was the closest Barça came, seven corners in the opening 45 evidencing the incessant nature of their attacking play.
Monchu’s spectacular opener in the second half, a powerful shot into the corner, had everyone on their feet and a double from Carles Pérez sealed a deserved victory.
Only superb defensive resistance from the Indian side stopped this from becoming a more comprehensive win.
