Just a handful of hours after being officially welcomed into the blaugrana family, Barça's shiny, new signing, the Polish goalscoring machine, Robert Lewandowski, made the short trip from the team hotel to the Inter Miami training facility to practice under the scorching, late afternoon sun. The man they call Lewy was not alone. He was accompanied by Barça netminder Arnau Tenas. By the looks of Lewandowski's sinewy figure, with well-defined biceps and legs that look strong enough to support an offshore oil rig, he is as physically fit as ever. But the kind of Superman-esque body boasted by the hard-working Pole does not come easy. Train, he must, and so it should come as little surprise that 'Lewy' was champing at the bit to get out onto the pitch, even under the relentless heat and humidity offered up by the South Florida summer. It's been a whirlwind week for Lewandowski, and on Thursday he will travel with his teammates for the first time when they board a plane bound for Las Vegas, Nevada, where Barça will play their second match of the 2022 summer tour against the rival of all rivals: Real Madrid.
