Midfielder
Son of former Reus player Kiko Alabart, Ignacio was born in La Corunya and began playing for the Compañía de María club at the age of just five. In 2012 he arrived at FC Barcelona to join the youth teams at la Masia. His first team debut came on 5 May 2013 at the age of 17 in a league game against Blanes. His European debut came on 7 February 2015 against Dinan Quevert.
Alabart left for Voltregà on loan in 2015 where he spent two seasons, building up valuable experience in national competition. He returned to the blaugranes in the summer of 2017 after scoring 26 goals the previous season with Voltregà.
The Galician was a fixture for the Spanish national sides at youth level before making his debut for the full national team in the 2017 Cup of Nations.
Alabart is a skilful midfielder with excellent vision and a good change of pace. He is good in possession and has a superb mid-distance shot. Good stick skills mean he can take players on and he is also an asset at free hits.
