Thirteen matches and thirteen wins for FC Barcelona in the OK league after a 2-1 victory away at Reus on Sunday, a game decided thanks a Pablo Álvarez goal in the second half. David Cáceres' team now end the first half of the campaign top of the table thanks to their 100% record.
Intensity
Always a classic fixture in roller hockey, Reus v Barça did not disappoint in the Palau d'Esports. However, despite plenty of action, goals were no forthcoming in the first half as the teams went off at half time with the score standing goalless.
Home side take lead
The first to strike were Reus, Martí Casa scoring from a direct free hit just after the half hour mark. Barça had had chances through Pablo Álvarez and Marc Grau but it was Matías Pascual who levelled things up on 39 minutes. Six minutes later and Barça were in front - Pablo Álvarez scoring what would turn out to be the winner from a direct free hit.
Xavi Barroso could have made it 3-1 but he failed to score his penalty, a second miss of the day. Nevertheless, the Barça defence stood firm to take an important win and maintain their perfect league season so far.
