Tests carried out on first team player Ousmane Dembélé have confirmed a sprained ankle that will keep him our of action for approximately 15 days.
The young Frenchman was injured in the game against Leganés this past Sunday, after putting in an impressive showing. Dembélé had provided speed, power, runs and assists, and with just 69 minutes on the pitch set a LaLiga record for the season of 11 completed dribbles in a single half.
He also opened the scoring, combining well with Jordi Alba and finding the net for the 13th time this season. He has scored 8 goals in LaLiga, 2 in the Champions League, 2 in the Copa del Rey and 1 in the Spanish Super Cup.
The match against Leganés was his 50th in a FC Barcelona shirt. In his time at the club so far he has offered up 17 goals and 12 assists.
