FC Barcelona are set to take on in-form Sevilla at the Sánchez Pizjuán on Sunday, and midfielder Denis Suárez knows all about playing at the famous stadium.
The 23-year-old spent a year out on loan at Sevilla and remembers his time fondly, as it was a vital part of his development.
“I still have friends there who I spent a great year with, and therefore it will be special to go back there,” he told Barça TV.
Talking of the summer switch in management, Denis acknowledges that Sevilla “have changed a lot” under Jorge Sampaoli.
“It is very different to the team of Emery; with Sampaoli, they go out strong in the first 10-15 minutes,” he said.
“It is one of the toughest grounds,” Denis acknowledged but the key lies in dominating the ball, the midfielder believes: “Both teams love to have possession and control the game. Whoever bosses the ball will have more of a chance to win.”
Lastly, the Galician commented on his start to life back at Barça, saying that “it is always where I have wanted to be, I am enjoying it a lot and I hope to be here for many years”.
