The international break is almost over and over the next few days the players will be returning from different games around the world ready to start focusing on what’s going to be a very intense April schedule indeed at FC Barcelona.
The fourth month of the year brings nine fixtures in just thirty days! The seven Liga fixtures include El Clásico at the Santiago Bernabéu and the local derby with Espanyol, while the Champions League brings what are sure to be two cracking games with Juventus.
It all starts with a Liga triple-header against Andalusian clubs; away to Granada this Sunday at 8.45pm CET, at home to Sevilla midweek and then a trip back down south to Malaga on Saturday.
The match at the Juventus Stadium in Turin comes the Tuesday after, with the return at Camp Nou on Wednesday 19. In between the quarter final showdown with the Italian champions comes a Liga visit from Eusebio Sacristán and his ever-tricky Real Sociedad side.
And it just doesn’t stop this month, because after that comes another run of three Liga games in one month. And the first of those is none other than the trip to Real Madrid (Sunday 23, 8.45pm CET), a game that should have a huge bearing on where the Liga trophy is going to end up this season. Barça follow that with a game at home to Osasuna and then comes another of the high-voltage fixtures – the derby away to Espanyol.
So if you’ve been missing your favourite club over the last few days, don’t worry! There’s plenty of Barça-tastic entertainment to look forward to over the next four weeks!
