Gerard Piqué: 'We are switched on for the final'

Gerard Piqué has spoken about the latest blaugrana news at the inauguration of a new Cruyff Court and discussed the upcoming Copa del Rey final against Alavés. The centre back said, “the team is not relaxed. We have won lots of games in a row and we are switched on.” The Barça player then discussed the importance of securing a victory: “The match is very important; our objective is to win the Copa as it is another trophy and it will allow us to take part in the Spanish Super Cup.”
Piqué also discussed Vicente Calderón’s closure at the end of the season: “It is one of the stadiums with the most character in the league and when we go there we always play good games.” He also spoke about the fans’ support at the Camp Nou throughout the season by saying that “the fans have exceeded expectations this year.”
“It is not the season we would have wanted but it hasn’t been a disaster”, stated the defender when discussing how the season has turned out. Finally, Piqué discussed his future: “I feel great and I want to play for as long as I can, helping the Club win titles.”
