Ousmane Dembélé is in the house!
The French striker’s plane touched down at El Prat Airport at around 5.30pm CET on Sunday, from where he was taken directly to the Camp Nou to pose for the traditional picture outside the club offices, next to the enormous club crest.
"I am very happy to be here. It has always been my dream to be at Barça" he told the club media. "And now I’m here I’m very happy to have achieved my dream."
"This is the best club in the world with the best players in the world ... My aim is to do everything for the club, everything for the team, and to have an understanding with my team-mates."
Dembélé also got his first glimpse of the inside of the stadium that will be his home for at least the next five years – although it’s tomorrow Monday that he’ll truly get the chance to familiarise himself with his new surroundings.
The player will be signing his contract in the presidential suite at around 12.30pm (all times Central European Time) and will be officially presented for photos and to say his first words at 1.00pm in the Auditori 1899.
Asfter getting kitted up in his new strip, the former Rennes and Dortmund star will be appearing on the Camp Nou turf at 1.45pm. This will be first chance for the fans to greet the new arrival, and the stadium gates will be opening at 12.30pm for that very purpose, although please note that there is limited seating in the allocated zone.
Finally, at 2.30pm, the player will be returning to the Auditori 1899, this time to answer questions from the media.
The whole Dembélé presentation will be shown live with English commentary and translation on the official club website, on BarçaVIDEO and YouTube.
