Leo Messi is in great form this season and his efforts have been rewarded with yet another landmark reached. The FC Barcelona number 10 has reached yet one more goalscoring milestone: 100 goals in European competition in a Barça shirt.
With his goal against Oympiacos on Matchday 3 in the Champions League he has now compiled a century of wonderful strikes in the Champions League and the European Super Cup.
It all started on 2 November 2005 when Messi scored for the very first time in Europe against another Greek side, Panathinaikos in this case with the Argentine scoring the third in a 5-0 win at Camp Nou. Now his total stands at 97 in the Champions League in 118 matches and three goals from four matches in the European Super Cup.
