The Aragonese club are now in the Spanish First Division. The team coached by former blaugrana Joan Francesc Ferrer ‘Rubí’ sealed promotion on Monday and will feature in the top flight for the 2018/19 season.
Huesca secured promotion mathematically thanks to a 2-0 away win at Lugo. Next season Barça will face the Aragonese club for the very first time in LaLiga after having opened their accounts against the likes of Eibar, Leganés and Girona over the last few seasons.

The coach who has led Huesca to promotion is a former member of the Barça coaching staff. ‘Rubí’ was part of the team of the team under coaches Tito Vilanova and Gerardo ‘Tata’ Martino before leaving in the summer of 2014 to take over at Second Division club Valladolid.
