FC Barcelona's new mobile virtual network operator Barça Mobile is here
Today saw the presentation of Barça Mobile, the new blaugrana mobile virtual network operator, a collaboration between FC Barcelona and the New Era Visionary Group, the Club's Official Telecom Operator. Through Barça Mobile, FC Barcelona can offer mobile virtual network operator services around the world and make new experiences available to its fans worldwide, further enhancing the Club's reputation as a pioneering entity for applying digital technology potential to the world of sport.
The first Barça Mobile product was presented today, the new Global Travel eSIM. This virtual mobile card enables simple mobile connection to the Internet in over 170 countries via the Barça Mobile App, the new mobile app available for iOS and Android. It has a 4G to 5G connection and there is no need to change telephone number. The Barça Mobile Global Travel eSIM offers roaming with unlimited mobile data at maximum speed, with different prepaid rates starting at €4.50, with the final price depending on the country and how long the service is contracted.
This new product targets people who travel abroad in particular, whether from time to time or for longer stays. Service availability will gradually be added to more countries. The virtual card becomes active instantly, making it easier to use. The Global Travel eSIM is now available for purchase from the Barça Mobile App, also the platform that will be used to manage all the company's services.
Much more than a mobile virtual network operator
After Global Travel eSIM, Barça Mobile are preparing to launch services as a mobile virtual network operator and will provide telephone and fibre optic connectivity in Spain. These initial telecommunications services will be offered using the Orange network infrastructure (MasOrange), before gradually being rolled out in new markets.
In addition to all the mobile telephone-related products developed by FC Barcelona in collaboration with New Era Visionary Group using the Orange network, the operator will also provide the most advanced 5G SA (Stand Alone) network infrastructure for the Spotify Camp Nou. This will mean the new stadium becomes one of the sporting facilities with the best connectivity in the world.
FC Barcelona members will be able to make the most of exclusive discounts on the Barça Mobile products and services launched over the coming weeks.
FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta, New Era Visionary Group CEO Ruslan Bîrlâdeanu, and MasOrange B2B managing director Joaquín Colino were all present for an event part of the Barça Immersive Tour. Other Club representatives, partners, and guests from the telecommunications sector, among others, were also in attendance.

The Club's president announced the agreement during the presentation event. It is an alliance that "will offer a wide range of services to all FC Barcelona fans." Furthermore, he specified that "this agreement ratifies FC Barcelona's commitment to make Espai Barça into an international innovation hub, at the forefront of new technologies, as well as reaffirming Barça's commitment to further its digital transformation process."
Founder and CEO of the New Era Visionary Group, Ruslan Bîrlădeanu, stated that they are not just another telecommunications provider. “We want to create an experience, a real connection between Barça and its fans, a network that transcends borders and keeps us together". As such, he declared that the idea with Barça Mobile is to provide "a platform designed to offer a wide range of services that provide a deeper connection with the Club's fans".
