The Barça Legends play the Real Madrid Leyendas in Mumbai next Sunday 6 April at 7pm local time (3.30pm CET) in their fourth meeting of the season and fifth of all time, the chance to gain revenge after the all-whites came out top on penalties a fortnight ago in Puerto Rico, after the game finished 1-1 after 90 minutes.
Albert Ferrer has named the following squad for the game in India: Jesús Angoy, Vítor Baia, Carles Puyol, Sergi Barjuan, Fernando Navarro, Samuel Okunowo, Frank de Boer, Marc Valiente, Xavi Hernández, José Edmílson, Gaizka Mendieta, Roberto Trashorras, Javier Saviola, Jofre Mateu, Ludovic Giuly, Giovanni, Rivaldo and finally Phillip Cocu, the Dutch midfielder who was at Barça from 1998 to 2004, and who will be making his Legends debut.
Madrid's squad includes the likes of Pepe, Fernando Morientes, Luis Figo, Michael Owen, Fernando Sanz and Christian Karembeu.
Second trip to India
The Legends were in India once before, in September 2018, to face a team of local legends from Mohun Bagan BC. They won that game easily, 6-0 with goals from Saviola, Roger, Pedro Landi (pen), Jari Litmanen (2) and Jofre. The latter spent two seasons playing in India for Atletico Kolkata (2014-15) and FC Goa (2015-16) and is back in the squad for this year's visit
