Ferran Torres, a killer in the box

There is no doubt that Ferran Torres is living up to his nickname 'The Shark' inside the penalty box this season. His goal against Osasuna in the 3-0 win was his 14th of the season, making it his best ever campaign in terms of finding the net. 

In his 33 appearances this season, he has been a starter in 11 matches. Nevertheless, despite not playing 90 minutes regularly, his killer instinct in the box is evident from his 14 goals and three assists. 

In top form 

It is no surprise that Ferran is in such good form, taking a cue from Lewandowski and Raphinha, the only blaugranes to have scored more goals than the man from Valencia this season. 

With more than two months of the campaign remaining, Ferran has beaten his previous best which was with Manchester City in the 2020/21 season when he scored 13 goals in 36 matches. His record as a blaugrana stood from last season when he recorded 11 goals in 42 matches in a Barça shirt. 

The striker has the chance to extend his record in what remains of the campaign to set the bar even higher as a Barça player.
