First ever Barça Academy in Germany and a return to the Netherlands

Barça Academy football campuses set to take place in Germany and the Netherlands this summer

More growth for Barça Academy as it will be present in two countries with a great tradition for football this summer. Germany is set to host the first ever Barça Academy in two cities in August. Dusseldorf will be first from 11 to 15 August, followed by Cologne from 18 to 22 August. Holding campuses in Germany is a clear investment into a country with a very strong tradition and culture of football, and one of the world's leading countries in the sport. What's more, there is a blaugrana link to Germany through coach Hansi Flick and goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen

The Barça Academy campuses will be in the Netherlands the week before. As such, the Amsterdam campus will welcome boys and girls interested in Barça's footballing style from 28 July to 1 August, while it will be from 4 to 8 August for the Rotterdam campus. Barça were last in the country in 2018, but the Club wanted to return to a country where the footballing culture and playing style is very similar to that of FC Barcelona. Furthermore, there are more than obvious ties with Netherlands and the Club, through Johan Cruyff, Rinus Michels, Johan Neeskens and Phillip Cocu, among others, while the current players include midfielder Frenkie de Jong and Barça Women player Esmee Brugts

Barça Camps worldwide

The Barça Academy currently holds over 200 football campuses worldwide with the aim of growing the project and sharing the unique and characteristic Barça football model to every child who wants to learn how to play the Barça way. The Barça Academy aims to keep adding more cities in which to showcase the Club's own methodology across countries where football is part of the sporting culture for young people.
