FC Barcelona's marathon starts here

The team has no fewer than seven games in just 19 days

FC Barcelona are going into the final stretch of the season still alive in all three major competitions. That's a good thing, but it also means they have an incredibly packed fixture list to get through. Between Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League there are no fewer than seven games to come in less than three weeks.

Osasuna on Thursday

The marathon begins against Osasuna on Thursday at 9pm CET in the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. This game that was originally postponed following the death of Dr. Carlos Miñarro will be followed just three days later by the Catalan derby, also at Montjuïc, against Girona (Sunday 4.15pm CET).

Cup and Champions League

There is no respite in April. On Wednesday 2 comes the second leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final against Atlético Madrid (9.30pm CET), following the dramatic 4-4 draw in the first game. The Saturday immediately after there is another home Liga fixture at 9pm CET, this time against in-form Betis.

Away trips

On Wednesday 9 (9pm CET), action gets under way in the UEFA Champions League quarter final against Borussia Dortmund. And the Tuesday after at the same time, the teams will meet again in the second leg, with Barça visiting Leganés in between (time and date to be confirmed).

Or is it a triathlon?

But that is not the end of it. If Barça make it into the Copa del Rey final, they'll have that to play on April 26. And if they advance to the Champions League semi-finals, then they will be playing the home leg in the last week of April and the away leg in the first week of May. And that's with Liga fixtures to squeeze in between.

There are trophies to be won this season, but winning all three means playing games every three or four days. Hopefully it'll all be worth it in the end!
