Barça coach Hansi Flick showed himself to be happy with his side's performance in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final in the Estadi Olímpic. The game ended 4-4 after an exhilarating 90 minutes of football and the German reflected on events in post-game appearance before the press. "We have an extraordinarily strong team but we have to improve small details. But, I did like the team's attitude," said Flick.
"Happy with the team"
Despite finding it hard to put into words the draw against Atlético, the adjective 'frustrated' came up. "It's not the best result but there is another game. We can win in the Metropolitano," said Flick, referring to the second leg to come on 2 April. Of his team's opponents, he said, "They are a fantastic team with great players. They put us under pressure in the final minutes to get the draw. I didn't like how we conceded the last goal. We are a young team and we will work hard to improve and learn from our mistakes."
Flick was delighted at the way his team picked themselves up after conceding twice in the opening six minutes. "We dominated for 70 minutes of the game, we defended well, but we need to work on not conceding goals like Atlético's last one," admitted the coach.
"We are on the right track. The team is confident and that is good. We are looking to the future positively as a lot of players are in top form," concluded Flick before finally adding that he was "95%'" happy with the team in Tuesday's game.
