Movistar Inter 3-4 Barça: Morale boosting comeback

A win away at the league leaders for the Barça futsal team, as the blaugranes triumphed 3-4 over Movistar Inter. Definitely a morale boosting victory after going out of the Copa and the loss at home to Valdepeñas, coming back from 2-0 down and dominating the second half. The result matched the home game, giving FC Barcelona the advantage in case of a tie at the top of the table at the end of the season.

Two goals apiece in the first half

A poor start defensively for Barça despite Miquel Feixas' best efforts to quell the onslaught during the initial period. The Madrid side opened the scoring after 7 minutes when Chaguinha snapped up a rebound. An emboldened Movistar Inter threatened another and it soon came from a dead ball situation through Drahovsky (min 13).

However, Barça had something to say in the half, Catela scored a left foot cracker six minutes before the break, assisted by Touré, and then with a minute left, Dyego with a signature move assisted Martel to make it 2-2 and the game was all-square at halftime.

Sergio brace and blaugranes bring it home

Barça came out a different animal after the break, showing composure on the ball and raiding the Movistar Inter goal with ease. Sergio Gonzalez had an especially good second half, the Catalan scoring a goal on 24 and 30 minutes at a true proverbial tough place to go for some breathing space on the scoreboard.

Inter played with a fly keeper to try to redress the balance and at least grab a draw, but Barça defended well enough, with only Cecilio managing to make it 3-4. However, with just seven seconds left, it was purely academic, and the blaugranes come home with a win.
