Barça 8-3 Patí Vic: New record

No team had ever started the OK Liga with 18 consecutive wins ... until today!

Barça crushed Club Patí Vic 8-3 on Thursday to become the first team in OK Liga history to win 18 consecutive matches. A seemingly routine midweek game at the Palau Blaugrana turned into a milestone victory, with goals from Ferran Font, Marc Grau (3), Ignacio Alabart, Matias Pascual, Sergi Aragonès, and Pablo Álvarez securing another three points, which obviously also mean that Barça stay well on top of the league pile.

Early dominance and a record-breaking win

Barça started strong, with Pablo Álvarez hitting the post before Ferran Font opened the scoring on 7 minutes. Marc Grau doubled the lead just before halftime. It was in the second half that the proverbial floodgates opened. Alabart and Grau capitalized on a power play to extend the lead to 4-0. Vic pulled one back, but Pascual and Aragonès quickly made it 6-1 on 35 minutes.

Despite two late goals from Vic, Barça controlled the final minutes. Marc Grau sealed his hat-trick, and Pablo Álvarez wrapped up the scoring with the eighth goal of a historic night.
