The Spotify Camp Nou is progressing in its construction with new challenges and milestones achieved

The Club will explain tomorrow in an open session to members, led by the vice-president of FC Barcelona, Elena Fort, and the head of operations of Espai Barça, Joan Sentelles, the current state of the works and the details of the partial reopening of the stadium.

FC Barcelona is moving forward with the construction of the Spotify Camp Nou with the aim of returning to playing official competition games there this season, with a partial capacity of more than 60,000 spectators. However, any forecast in the calendar is subject to revision depending on the development of the Espai Barça works. Tomorrow, in a session open to members led by the vice-president of FC Barcelona, Elena Fort, and the director of operations of Espai Barça, Joan Sentelles, the progress of the project will be detailed and questions about the construction process of the new stadium will be answered. This session can also be followed live on Barça One, starting at 6:00 p.m.

A great infrastructure with unavoidable imponderables

The development of the works has undergone several unforgivables, a common situation in projects of this magnitude. These have been due to factors such as the availability of materials, the lack of qualified labor and work not initially planned, aspects that have generated changes in the execution schedules, which were very tight from the beginning.

Despite these challenges, the works are keeping up the necessary pace and work is being done to get the team back before summer. In this regard, when the Spotify Camp Nou reopens its doors, the stadium will have a fully operational temporary access control, lighting and service system, as well as catering points.

Changes in the final planning

As for the final deadlines for the work, the only significant change is the execution of the roof of the new stadium, which will take place once the 2025/26 season ends. This decision does not affect the general conditions of the stadium or the capacity and has been adopted to ensure the normal development of the competition during that season.

The lawn, ready for reopening

In parallel with the construction, the Club has already started work to plant the stadium's lawn. The process, which lasts approximately 10 weeks, consists of removing sand from the construction sites, installing the drains and then planting the new grass, a task that is expected to be completed in mid-April.

Intensive work to meet deadlines

In order to speed up the process, FC Barcelona has requested authorization from the Barcelona City Council to work six days a week for 24 hours a week, always respecting labor regulations and minimizing inconvenience to neighbors. Currently, the project has the participation of 3,000 workers.

Economic Management and Investor Relations

FC Barcelona maintains the planned payments with Goldman Sachs according to the established deadlines and depending on the evolution of the works. The contact with the financial institution is daily, with an exhaustive monitoring of the construction. In addition to the Club and the construction company, investors are also a key player in the project, since they have committed their investment to certain milestones determined by its profitability.

Launch of VIP Ring Seats and growth of Barça Hospitality

In parallel with the development of the work, Barça Hospitality has launched the VIP Ring Seats, the last Premium seats available for the future stadium. With 60% of the VIP products already sold, the Club continues to expand its exclusive offer for the new headquarters in Blaugrana. These new locations are located on the corners of the first VIP floor and have exclusive access to the hospitality rooms of the Spotify Camp Nou.

Espai Barça: a great opportunity for the sponsors and partners of the new stadium

The Spotify Camp Nou and Espai Barça project also represents a great opportunity for the sponsorship program created specifically for this new infrastructure. It is one of the most important projects in the Club's history and has become a platform full of new opportunities both for companies that address consumers directly (B2C) and for those that focus on the business environment (B2B). This program allows sponsors to take advantage of the global impact and prestige of FC Barcelona to consolidate their brand presence and generate commercial synergies.

Several companies wanted to join the new Spotify Camp Nou, consolidating themselves as key partners in the project. These include Fortinet, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Fever, Carrier, Raventós Codorníu, Panasonic, Eheim Möbel, HPE, TK Elevator, Figueras and Disano, among others.

Tomorrow, at the briefing open to members, all these aspects will be explained in more detail and attendees' inquiries regarding the state of the new stadium will be answered.
