Hansi Flick happy with 'performance' against Betis

Another win for Hansi Flick's Barça team and the coach could not hide his delight at his side scoring five goals again in a game on their way to the last eight of the Copa del Rey thanks to their 5-1 win over Betis. "It has been great to see the team's performance," admitted the German in his post-game press conference at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys. 

"The distances between the lines of player was perfect and we controlled the ball," said the coach, with his team now going into the draw for the quarter-finals next Monday. "It's great to see the La Masia players combining in midfield," continued Flick, outlining the importance of the home grown aspect of his squad. 

After another great performance from Lamine Yamal, the coach was measured in his praise: "He's in great form but we have to look after him. He's a brilliant player." 

"Pedri is a fantastic player to have in midfield," added Flick before also commenting on Araujo's performance at the back. 

There were words for the fans too at Montjuïc. "The supporters got behind us and there is a great connection between the players and the stands. It's really nice to see." With victory complete and a place in the next round of the cup sealed, Hansi Flick's gaze turned towards his next challenge. "We are going step by step and now we want to win at Getafe," said the blaugrana boss ahead of Saturday's trip to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez in La Liga.
