Barça 6-0 Levante Badalona: Goalfest in first home game of 2025

What a way to start the year at home. Barça Women have defeated Levante Badalona 6-0 at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, their second by the same scoreline in 2025, as Pere Romeu's side continue to set the pace in the Liga F.

New year, normal service resumed

It was Barça's first game in front of their fans at the Estadi Johan Cruyff in 2025. There was a lot of pre-match excitement and the blaugranes didn't disappoint in the first Catalan derby of the calendar year.

The path to victory was laid early when Vicky made it 1-0 after 10 minutes, the young forward there to prod in the rebound after Maria saved from a Pajor cross-shot. The blaugranes were in control and the side from Badalona were having trouble making inroads to generate any threatening situations.

A landmark goal

The second goal came after 24 minutes and it was a special one. Both Ballon d'Or winners combined – Alexia with a lovely through pass to Aitana who ran clear of the Badalona defence to slot in. That goal made it 500 scored at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, an outstanding feat considering that the stadium was only inaugurated in 2019.

Still time for another goal before half-time, a period of possession ended with Alexia again threading a ball through for the onrushing Rolfö who steered the ball across from the left for Pajor to score (3-0, min. 38). 

Three more in the second half

Now into the second half, Rolfö added a goal to her assist, a short corner routine saw Aitana cross and the Swedish international smashed a rebound into the far side of the net (min 56).

The game was already won, but with just under a quarter of an hour left on the clock, substitute Walsh slid a lovely long pass along the pitch between two Badalona players to set Pajor free in the inside right channel. The Pole then crossed and found Salma at the far post to slot in the fifth (min 77). The final goal came from a stooping header by Kika after a cross was curled in expertly by substitute Brugts from the right after a good switch of play by Engen (min 87).

Next up for the blaugranes, an away match against Athletic Club at the San Mamés stadium to fulfil the Liga F matchday 15 fixture.
