Barça Atlètic 0-2 Nàstic: First home defeat

The unbeaten streak is over at the Johan Cruyff. Barça Atlètic lost this Sunday to Club Gimnàstic de Tarragona and after seven home matches (four draws and three wins), Albert Sánchez's team suffered their first defeat.

Both goals came during a first half in which Nàstic had more and better chances, and also made them count. In the second half, Barça Atlètic tried to turn the game around but couldn’t get the job done. This defeat extends their winless streak to nine consecutive matches, and they'll be hoping to bounce back against Arenteiro next Sunday.

The first half saw Nàstic dominate after a good start by Barça Atlètic. Víctor Barberá had the opening chance with a shot from the edge of the box (min 13), saved by Varo, but Pablo Fernández ended up heading the visitors into the lead om 24 minutes.

Jaume Jardí doubled that advantage after a quick counterattack just 13 minutes later. In the second half, Barça Atlètic pushed to narrow the deficit, with their best chance falling to Unai after excellent play by Noah Darvich and Rubén López. However, all those efforts were in vain, and ultimately the day ended in disappointment.
